Box 1 contains Annual Conference reports from 1888-1954. The report of the organizing conference (1888) is brief. Numbering of the reports does not begin until 1889. These printed reports include frequent extra conferences as well. Included in the annual reports are minutes of the conferences, budgets, and reports of committees, institutions, and circuit presidents. The reports were printed in Norwegian until 1922. They are arranged chronologically. The ELCA Archives collection did not include reports for 1937-1940, 1945 and 1955-1959. Missing issues were loaned for filming, by the ELCA Region 3 Archives, St. Paul, Minnesota. Between its microfilmed records and its paper records, the series is now only missing the annual conference report for 1950. Box 2 contains a 1958 agreement of cooperation between the ELC and LFC and a 1913 bound copy of the periodical Gasseren [Malagasy People], published by the LFC in Norwegian. It also contains several booklets printed in the Malagasy language. Box 3 contains miscellaneous records that include a copy of a document known as a "Societe Civile." This document was required by any entity that was going to buy, sell, or manage property in France or a French colony. It required to Board of Foreign Missions to become what was comparable to a general partnership.
